Windows Competition Won by Floral Expression, Far Headingley. £800 raised for Wheatfields Hospice

Our congratulations go to Floral Expression for winning the Christmas Window Dressing competition!


All entrants were invited to a reception at Headingley Community Hub on 3rd December where the Lord Mayor, Cllr. Eileen Taylor, presented the specially commissioned trophy to the winner, Floral Expression.

Lord Mayor, Cllr. Eileen Taylor accompanied by Mr Audley Taylor with the winner’s trophy and certificate before presenting them to Alison Ruud of ‘Floral Expression’ and a member of her team.

Certificates were also presented to those highly commended: Katie and May, Jam, MUTU, Salvo’s Salumeria, Rude Tattoo and the Sue Ryder Shop. A cheque was presented to Lauren Burton, Community Fundraiser, Wheatfields Hospice, for whom the the competion raised £800.

The money had been donated by the entrants … their names appear on a thank-you list displayed in the Sue Ryder shop and in various public spaces within Headingley (church halls, HEART, The Hub etc.). They all deserve the public’s support for their efforts in raising the profile of Headingley retailers.
