At least 15 Headingley retailers have so far signed up to be included in the charity Christmas window decoration competion that Headingley Rotary Club are introducing this year. They are displaying the Windows Competion poster.
President Alan Witrick said that considering it was still ‘early days’ for the Christmas shopping season, he was delighted with the response. The scheme aims to attract more shoppers into the area, benefit retailers and at the same time raise money for Wheatfields Hospice which is situated in Headingley.
Members have been handing details of the scheme to all the shop businesses in central Headingley, Any retailers who haven’t yet signed up and wish to take part should contact the club via the ‘Contact Us’ form on this website before 20 November. Judging will take place during week commencing 25 November.
