$35,000 Helps Provide a Therapy Pool for Disabled Children in India

By raising raising the equivalent of $10, 000 which was match funded from other sources in Rotary we have achieved a sum of $35,000. This has allowed the building of a hydro-therapy pool at the new Sylvia Wright Day Centre, for children with severe disabilities at Thiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu, southern India, While mainly used for therapy sessions, it also is available for leisure time for the children attending Sylvia’s residential school for profoundly deaf children. See a video on some activities for the children.

The club has had very close links with Sylvia for many years and have supported her on many occasions. To find out more about the Day Centre Click Here
