Meetings

We meet most Tuesdays at Devonshire Hall, Cumberland Road, Headingley, Leeds LS6 2QE. Meetings start at 12 for a 12.25pm lunch. This is  followed by a short talk or business meeting concluding at about 2pm. The talks, usually from a visiting speaker, cover a wide range of topical subjects, sometimes associated with our special projects.

Club Welcomes New Member Julia Marshall

Julia Marshall was welcomed to membership of the Headingley Club on 3rd July, having been left ‘homeless’ by the closure of her previous Rotary Club, Rothwell and District. We are delighted to have Julia join our growing number of female members.

New President’s Charity – St Vincent’s Support Centre, Leeds

Our new President, Paul Kennedy welcomed Sheena Eastwood, to our meeting on 10 July.  Sheena  is the Central Manager of St Vincent’s Support Centre in York Road, and gave a detailed and moving presentation about the work being done at St Vincent’s drop-in centre, which exists to help people who are struggling with poverty, deprivation, or immigration …
